About the event
The Teen Therapy Art Group is a supportive and creative space where adolescents can explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences through art-making. Guided by a mental health professional, participants use a variety of artistic activities—including drawing, painting, collage, and mixed media—to build self-awareness, develop healthy coping skills, and strengthen emotional expression.
No artistic experience is required. The focus is on the creative process rather than artistic skill or finished products. Through individual and group art activities, teens have opportunities to connect with peers, increase confidence, reduce stress, and explore challenges such as anxiety, depression, self-esteem, relationships, and life transitions in a safe and nonjudgmental environment.
Benefits may include:
Improved emotional expression and communication
Increased self-esteem and self-confidence
Development of healthy coping and stress-management skills
