Your Space Counseling Group is guided by a volunteer Board of Directors committed to our mission of creating space for healing, connection, and hope. Our board brings together different experiences and perspectives to help ensure our organization remains responsible, sustainable, and focused on the needs of the people and communities we serve.
Jacob Valenzuela
Board Chair & Executive Director
Jacob Valenzuela is the co-founder, Board Chair, and Executive Director of Your Space Counseling Group. With more than 25 years of leadership and service experience, he helps guide YSCG’s growth, operations, partnerships, and community outreach with a strong commitment to faith, family, and service.
Christina Shaver LMFT
Vice Chair & Executive Clinical Director
Christina Shaver is the co-founder, Vice Chair, and Executive Clinical Director of Your Space Counseling Group. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, she provides clinical leadership and oversight while supporting YSCG’s therapists and commitment to compassionate, high-quality mental health care.
Bob Hale
Treasurer
Bob Hale brings 36 years of experience as a public school teacher, along with previous service on the board of a private school. He has also been involved with Seniors First and has a strong heart for serving others and his community. As Treasurer, Bob brings experience, thoughtful judgment, and a commitment to responsible stewardship in support of YSCG’s mission.
Krystal Souza
Secretary
Krystal Souza brings experience in medical coding and the mental health field, along with strong organization and attention to detail that support her role as Board Secretary. She is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and brings both an administrative and growing clinical perspective to YSCG’s mission.
Eric Rojas
Board Member
Eric Rojas is a successful local entrepreneur known for his strong customer service, leadership, and ability to build lasting relationships. He is deeply connected to the community and brings a people-focused perspective and commitment to supporting YSCG’s mission and continued growth.
Our Role
Our Board provides independent oversight and guidance to help Your Space Counseling Group responsibly carry out its nonprofit mission. Board members support organizational planning, financial stewardship, community relationships, and the long-term sustainability of the organization.
